The French Broad River

 My mountain city is getting close to finishing a 2-mile greenway along the French Broad River.  Already people are flocking to enjoy it.  It's magical.

A former industrial swath along the river, the greenway/bikeway provides accessibility to the river that we didn't have before.  Thanks to considerable funding through federal/state/city collaboration, this is already a total win for Asheville.

We went down this afternoon and spent a bit of time enjoying sitting in our portable chairs and watching the river.
