A volunteer morning glory
Another repeat post from Places of the Spirit. It's really a bit of a gardening post, but I've been posting Inktober drawings there. I've cleaned out pole beans now in the front raised beds, which also deserves a post, but there are other things to do.
Inktober Day 16: A morning glory
We have quite a few volunteer morning glories, progeny of a beautiful
blue morning glory. It's been prolific, self-sowing for years now. We
knew better. But we really enjoyed those morning glories climbing up the
telephone poles along the house and apartment next door.
Now we try to pull up most seedlings, but a few always manage to escape.
Here's my drawing of a purple offspring (the others in flower now are an unfortunate dark pink).
