Lettuce and other musings

 I'm still harvesting lettuce from the garden. This leaf was inspiration for my Inktober drawing today.

I have speckled lettuce, romaine, red leaf lettuce, and spinach at the moment.  With spinach seedlings maybe ready to transplant.

I cleaned out the main pole beans yesterday, so will have a space to sow mache and creasy greens, both really cold-hardy greens.  

Late planted sugar snap peas are starting to flower;  they'll be stir-fry greens, I'm sure, but nice to see the flowers.
