Japanese turnips

I was surprised to see Japanese turnips at a large local grocery. They came from a company that specializes in Asian vegetables, both field- and greenhouse-grown. I’ve posted about them before.

Here was one of the turnips.  Normal enough. I was happy to grow them back in Asheville in 2012.  https://naturalgardening.blogspot.com/2012/11/hakurei-turnips.html

I love reading the English translation “cream of the crop of turnips.”  Indeed.  Japanese turnips whether white or red are wonderful
