Flower arrangements for hospice
One of the most rewarding things that my garden group does each year is creating flower arrangements for a local hospice care place. We all bring flowers and foliage, then create arrangements in donated containers. We did 38 yesterday — wonderful.

This was one of mine. I enjoyed the subtle contrast of the senescing thistles and Penstemon, contrasted with the fennel umbels.
We created lots of vibrant flower combinations, too.

Definitely a nice thing to do on a Sunday afternoon.
