Butterflies

The buddleia in the far border has been attracting LOTS of butterflies.  Monarchs, tiger swallowtails, skippers, and more.

It's been fun to watch the activity over the last few weeks!

  1. Thank God for butterfly bushes at this time of year to distract us from the bleak landscape. Growing up in Australia my grandparents had a farm on the edge of the Outback. They made a privacy fence which was as gray leafed variety buddlia with large yellow flower stems.
Of coursed when you're a kid everything seemed larger than what actually was but I project it to be 10' wide at at least 12' high running at least30 long'. Nothing could make it through but the poisonous snakes.
