Urban gardens

An early morning speaker (at the Garden Writers Association conference that I'm attending) pointed out a growing interest in small-scale gardens.

I'm not sure that is anything new, but I'm definitely impressed by the intensive gardening practiced in the private gardens on our tours yesterday afternoon.

  1. Beautiful! I think many people have had to scale down the size of their garden, especially those who have moved toward cities. Or those, like me, who left home and garden for an apartment. One thing I have learned this summer is that you can have a whole lot of color and enjoyment in a small space -- your photos just prove that. :)

Please share your thoughts. I enjoy hearing from fellow nature observers, as well as whomever else drops by.
