Peonies

Peonies are close to peak flowering now, depending on the cultivar.  Jardin de Metis is promoting their collection (an extensive one) currently.

I may not be able to get there before leaving for the Fling in Buffalo on Wednesday, but can certainly enjoy these, out the north windows.

They're impressive, reminding me of how past gardeners leave gifts to be enjoyed.
