Grounded in wildflowers

Our house is surrounded by native plants, connecting us to our place in the world in the Southern Appalachians. Now, in spring, the woodland wildflowers that Tim has fostered for many seasons, in past years moving extras around, from self-sowers to divisions, are all looking wonderful. It’s a perfect collection of wonderful spring wildflowers.

We can walk around the house revisiting old friends, happy to see them as they emerge and flower. So delightful.

I don't have good images of the various garden spaces, which are lovely, so this emerging Lobelia cardinalis will need to be enough.  Flowers to come!
