Local markets

An absence of supermarkets in Southern Vietnam (despite its rapid development) means that there's a vibrant culture of community markets, street sellers, and street food vendors. And with a cultural emphasis on fresh food, made with fresh ingredients means that food (even for travelers) is delicious.

More than the fresh produce is the sense of warm morning. It is in each of the photos and it fills me with green envy.
Nevertheless I'm happy for you there in the warmth of sun, people and food.
Every happiness in 2010.

Open markets are so fun to visit and fun to photograph. The colors and shapes are so wonderful. The healing herbs in those bowls are very interesting.
Great photos Lisa.
