Night hikes and a luminous moon

I wish I'd been able to capture an image of the moon as it appeared above the horizon, following my Garden night hike.

We didn't see the moon before the program ended, but saw Mars, remarkably luminous in the night sky. The cool, clear evening meant that not many insects or frogs were singing, but stars and planets were clearly visible.

  1. I thought of you last night when I let the dogs out for the last time before bed. The moon was just barely up through the trees. I wondered how late your hike might have been.

  2. Wasn't that a drop dead beautiful moon? I was in Seneca last night and it was wonderful shining over the pasture and the lake.

Glad you had a nice hike!
