Fall color
A neighborhood black gum is putting on a brilliant show. I don't know why this tree is so colorful. It's a bit spindly, near the road, not looking terribly robust, but is gorgeous.

There's every shade of red in those leaves -- beautiful!

I'v noticed the same thing with our cypress tress down here in south Florida. Some have started to brown, others have completely lost their needles, and others are still green. We've got to get them all on the same calendar!
