I'd noticed a new green roof installation a week or so ago, while previewing routes for the Garden Bloggers Fling (this was a detour) and thought it was spectacular.
I'd read about it awhile ago, but didn't know where it was.

this interesting piece today about the benefits of green roofs in the NY Times encouraged me to return and take a few photos, with my gardening companion and gardening assistant in tow.

These are really cool roofs! I have been looking at commercial roofing companies because I'm getting some work done on my roof soon but I have never seen this before. Thank you for sharing this with us, I'm definitely going to talk to my wife about green roofs.
